Sandefjord may be on the verge of losing its star striker Stefán Ingi Sigurðarson. TV 2 has been informed that there have been bids for Sigurðarson in the last few days, and much suggests that it is Swedish Djurgården who is leading the charge for his signature.

What has happened?

Sandefjord has had a good season so far, with 48 points and a 5th place in the Eliteserien. The team has also scored 55 goals and conceded 42 goals. But now they may be on the verge of losing one of their most important players.

Why is this important for Sandefjord?

The loss of Sigurðarson could be a hard blow for Sandefjord. He has scored 11 goals in the Eliteserien so far, and is one of the team's most valuable players. Sports manager Matteus Bårdsen has not commented on the matter, but chairman Gunnar Bjønness says that the time when they sell cheap is over.

What comes next?

Sandefjord will play against Bodo/Glimt at home on July 26. The team is 23 points behind leaders Viking, and must win more games to keep in touch with the top.StatValue
