Sandefjord won dramatically against Kristiansund at home on Sunday. The match ended 1-0 to Sandefjord after a fantastic volley by Elias Jemal in extra time. Hans Erik Ødegaard, the Sandefjord coach, was overjoyed after the win and said it was well deserved. Sandefjord had most of the chances and finally managed to get all three points. Seconds before the final whistle, Elias Jemal scored on a half volley and sent the home crowd to heaven. Ødegaard has been the Sandefjord coach since the start of the 2021 season and has managed to keep the club in the Eliteserien all the way. Sandefjord will travel to Hamar to face HamKam in the Eliteserien next Sunday. And it's expected to be a tough match. But Sandefjord is in good form and has improved recently. They beat league leaders Bodø/Glimt 2-1 four rounds ago. So it's possible they can win against HamKam too. Sandefjord had one game less played than their relegation rivals before Sunday's match, but with the win against Kristiansund, they are now ahead of both LSK and Odd. The most disputed moment of the match came after half of the first half when the referee blew a free kick to the guests without it being entirely clear why. TV 2 commentator Amund Lollik Lutnæs said it was a strange cancellation. Sandefjord coach Hans Erik Ødegaard was among the candidates to take over the job as head coach in Lillestrøm earlier in the week, but according to both Romerikes Blad and TV 2, he has rejected talks with the club. Sandefjord has limited resources, but Ødegaard has managed to keep the club in the Eliteserien all the way. It's a great achievement and shows that Ødegaard is a skilled coach.
