Sandefjord have cancelled a scheduled friendly match against Fredrikstad. The game was set to take place at Jotun Arena on Saturday 3 October.
The club's sporting department made the decision following a week with several injury setbacks. A combination of long-term and new injuries left the squad short of available players, with three also away on international duty. The club expressed regret over the cancellation and acknowledged the disruption to Fredrikstad's training schedule.
The club said it was regrettable to have to cancel the match but that player health must come first.
The cancellation comes just before the league season resumes. Sandefjord, who sit 11th in Eliteserien, are due to face Rosenborg away on 10 October. Their recent form reads WLLDD from the last five matches. No replacement friendly is expected before the league restart. The next competitive fixture is therefore against Rosenborg at Lerkendal.
