Sandefjord sign Brann defender on long-term deal Sandefjord have signed Brann's U21 captain Rasmus Holten on a deal until 2030. The 21-year-old defender chose Sandefjord over Tromsø, who had also made an offer. Sandefjord, currently 5th in Eliteserien with 48 points from 30 games (15 wins, 3 draws, 12 losses), are looking forward to adding Holten to their squad. The club has been active in the transfer market recently, bringing in several new players. ## What does this mean for Sandefjord? - We are very happy that Rasmus chose Sandefjord. He is an exciting defender both in the short term to compete for a place in the team, but he is also the U21 captain, so he is a player who will become very good in the coming years, says Sandefjord's sports director Matteus Bårdsen. Holten, who was born in Bergen, is sad to leave Brann but looks forward to more playing time. - Playing for Brann has been a boyhood dream, and it has been an honor to play here. I hope we meet again. I feel ready to play football every week, and that's why I wanted to take this opportunity, Holten says to brann.no. ## What's next? Sandefjord have been very active in the transfer market recently. On Thursday, they signed Martin Hellan on loan from Brann, and earlier in the day, they signed Danish winger Mathias Dahl Sauer. The team has a tough match ahead, as they will face Bodo/Glimt at home on July 26. Bodo/Glimt are 2nd in Eliteserien, and Sandefjord will have to work hard to get points in the game.
