KFUMs 2013 girls won the Sandar Cup in Sandefjord after a weekend of seven matches and seven victories. They defeated Vear 1–0 in the final following extra time, with Thea Løkke setting up Nina Arneberg for the winning goal. This is reported by kaaffa.no in their club news from the weekend. The team began the weekend by watching the first team win 1–0 at Jotun arena on Friday evening, which added extra motivation before the group stage. They then secured wins against Gjøvik-Lyn (5–1), Halsen (3–1) and Haugfoss (5–1) before the knockout rounds began. In the round of 16, they beat Kapp 1–0, followed by a 1–0 victory over Brumunddal in the quarter-finals and a 2–0 win against Amazon Grimstad in the semi-finals. All matches were played with strong defensive organisation and effective transitions, leading to the impressive goal difference. After the final victory over Vear, captain and goalkeeper Yrja Sollien Fjeldseth lifted the trophy in front of the celebrating team. Seven matches, seven wins and an 18–3 goal difference show how dominant the team was throughout the tournament. The victory comes shortly after their Norway Cup triumph the previous week, highlighting the depth and quality in Kåffa’s girls’ setup. Head coach Øyvind Brenne said the girls impressed from the first kick and that there are many eager and talented footballers in the club. This result boosts confidence within the club and could bring extra energy ahead of upcoming matches. While the first team prepares for their next home fixture against Brann on August 30, such performances from the youth sides can contribute to a positive atmosphere around the squad.
